Recently I had the honour of photographing Andy and Rachel's wedding day at The Loft at the Rabbit Hotel, in Templepatrick. This unique venue is a charming location that provides the perfect backdrop for a romantic and intimate wedding celebration.


Andy and Rachel were a wedding photographer’s dream. They were naturals behind the camera and had a brilliant chemistry that made my job so easy.   The grounds of The Loft have everything you need for photos, you are able to achieve so many backgrounds within such a short distance from the venue.  It is an ideal venue for anyone who doesn’t want to lose much time travelling to a location for photos.


The wedding party was made up of 5 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen, and as a wedding photographer, I know that it can be daunting when there are so many people to work with. However, everyone was so kind and welcoming, which made my job so much easier and more enjoyable!


Everything felt personal, from a friend doing Rachel's hair and flowers to a friend conducting their wedding ceremony. As a wedding photographer, I know that these personal touches make a wedding day truly unique and special. The wedding ceremony and drinks reception were made all the more magical by harpist Ruth Corry, who is always a joy to see at weddings.


The evening was made all the more special by the live music provided by The Rare Aul' Stuff, one of my favourite wedding bands in Northern Ireland. They had the dancefloor packed, as always.  I was able to get all the pictures I needed quickly, however I stayed a lot longer just to soak up the atmosphere.


It was truly an honour to photograph Andy and Rachel’s wedding at The Loft.  It was an absolute pleasure to work with such a wonderful couple. Below are a few favourite photos of mine from their day.
