I’m so excited that I can finally share this with you! (<-I just had to delete about a hundred explanation marks. *THAT* excited!)
Mel sent me a cool wee enquiry last August about photography-ing her and Gary’s beautiful garden wedding in the Headfort Arms Hotel, Kells (county Meath). We met up soon after and discussed the wedding ideas and it honestly sounded too good to be true. Melissa had amazing plans to decorate the gardens, something that had never been done at the hotel before. She had imagined a stunning masterpiece of a venue, and on the day the finished article had exceeded all expectations.
Mel and Gary are such a cool couple and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know them. Last September we met up for a family shoot. As time has went by I’ve been able to meet more of the family along the way; I did a cool wee shoot with Mel’s sister Megan in March. They are all so chilled and laid back, so I knew I’d expect a good time from them on their big day!
Melissa’s make-up was by Stacey Kilpatrick at s.a.k designs. This wasn’t the first time I’ve had a long conversation with a bride about how amazing Stacey’s work is. She’s an incredible artist.
I tried something different for this wedding. I’ve been wanting to try a stopmotion film for a wedding day for a while, and I’m so glad I was able to do so on this special day. The film can be viewed by clicking the link below:
It was a perfect day. Hope you enjoy.
