I’m a tall cheeky Scottish lad currently based in Northern Ireland. I love shooting weddings and I genuinely believe I have the best job in the world. I only shoot weddings and am available to travel worldwide to do so.
I hope you can see lots of happy faces in my galleries. My approach to wedding photography is to capture as many happy moments as possible in a natural and relaxed way. It’s the happiest day of your life, so I want to capture you looking your happiest. I like having a laugh with my couples when shooting and I’m always aiming to capture laughter. I want your grandkids to see how happy you looked in your wedding photos. While laughter is my priority to capture, I’m also a sucker for a beautiful landscape and I occasionally throw out a wee creative snap into the mix too.
I love my family. I married my beautiful wife in 2007. If i meet you to discuss shooting your wedding, it’s pretty likely I’ll say “marriage is the best thing you’ll ever do”.. because I really believe it is. Kids are awesome too! Our beautiful son arrived in 2011 and our beautiful daughter arrived in 2013.
I play bass. I studied in Perth for 4 years and have a degree in Music. Music is a massive part of my life. Bands like Frightened Rabbit/Death Cab for Cutie/Attack In Black/Wintersleep/Streets of Laredo/Land Of Talk are my favourites.
I never studied photography but have attended workshops/seminars by Emma Case, Sean Flanigan, Fer Juaristi, Sam Hurd, Nessa Kessinger, Jonas Peterson, Samm Blake, Ed Peers, Jasmine Star and others. I’m in a wonderful community of wedding photographer friends who inspire and challenge me. I shot my first wedding in 2012, in 2016 I shot my 100th wedding and in 2018 I shot my 200th wedding.
I’m addicted to memes, I’m a bit of a coffee snob and having a giggle with pals is my ultimate favourite thing to do.
I use Canon mk3’s, Canon L series and Sigma Art prime lenses.
